Location Directions: From Highway 6, exit onto
Lamar Avenue, proceed north. Make a left onto Old Taylor Road.
Proceed until you reach an almost 90 degree left curve in the road, Rowan
Oak is located in that curve. The entrance is marked by a gravel road
and a few signs.

Built c. 1848. From 1930 to 1962 home of novelist William Faulkner,
who name it for the rowan tree , symbol of security and peace. Now
maintained as a literary landmark by the University of Mississippi.
