Fund Raising
The Oxford-Lafayette County
Heritage Foundation qualifies as a nonprofit 501c organization under
Internal Revenue codes thereby affording a tax deduction.
There are three types of contributions available. The first type is for
Membership which provides for newsletters and other costs of existence. Any
excess is swept to the General Fund.
The second type is for General Funds which are used as an earnest money
source and emergency reserve. The very existence of this source of immediate
revenue allowed the acquisition of the College Hill Store and the LQC Lamar
House to begin.
The third type is project specific and typically needs to be a large size
pool of revenue assembled from individual, corporate, governmental and grant
sources.
The nature of our mission means we will always have a need for all three
types of funding on an ongoing basis; therefore, we will always be seeking
more funds to move our goals forward.
Donations from all possible
sources at any and all times are welcome and desired.
